Youth Ministry

“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
There are different workings but the same God
who produces all of them in everyone.
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.”

...I Corinthians 12
Youth participation also includes volunteering at
  • Parish dinners
  • Hosting parish events i.e., Pumpkin Patch, Spring weekend auction
  • Poinsettia and Christmas tree sales at Christmas
  • Yard sale on President’s Day

The goals of youth ministry (from 7th – 12th grade) are to:

  • Call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • Draw young people into the life, work and mission of the faith community.
  • Foster the total personal and spiritual growth of young people.¹

 St. Peter Youth Ministry supports relationships with the youth and solidifies the partnership between the church and parents by utilizing the gifts of the youth and empowering them to serve.

Opportunities for spiritual and personal growth include attending and serving on teams for retreats, completing service projects, participating in the Stations of the Cross, assisting at Mass as altar servers and at regular and Children’s Masses as ushers and lectors.
