Baptism
Through the Sacrament of Baptism we become children of God. By its water our Original Sin is washed away and by its prayer “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” we become members of the family of God, the Church.

Confession
In the Sacrament of Reconciliation we confess our sins, receive absolution and do penance to purify us. Our parish priest is available during our scheduled confession time on Saturdays 4:45-5:15 pm (before our 5:30 pm Vigil Mass) or by appointment. Eucharist
The Sacrament of the Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian life” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324). As Catholics we believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. In the Body and Blood of Christ, in the consecrated bread and wine, we are nourished both in body and spirit.
Children are prepared for First Communion through our Religious Education program, CCD or Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. Adults joining the Catholic faith are prepared for First Communion through our OCIA program (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Confirmation
In the Sacrament of Confirmation we receive the Holy Spirit more fully to guide us and help us to live holy lives. Our young people are prepared for Confirmation through our Religious Education program (CCD or Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) while adults are prepared through our OCIA program (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Holy Orders
The Sacrament of Holy Orders enables the ordained to exercise a sacred power, serve the people of God and spread the Good News (The Catechism of the Catholic Church). Together with those called to religious or consecrated life and the laity, priests and deacons share the work in the mission of the Church.

Anointing of the Sick
In the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick we ask God to heal us in body and spirit. In the Holy Scriptures, St. James the Apostle said: “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the priests of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” (James 5:14-15) [The Catechism of the Catholic Church #1526]
